Teton Pines Country Club, Jackson Hole Wyoming
Teton Pines Resort is in close proximity to two of the nation’s premier national parks – Grand Teton and Yellowstone. From Teton Pines, the southern-most entrance to Grand Teton is only 5 miles north on the Moose-Wilson Road while the south entrance of Yellowstone is 55 miles north via Grand Teton National Park and the John D. Rockefeller Jr. Memorial Parkway.
Grand Teton National Park
Grand Teton, the smaller of the two parks, is perhaps more majestic and rugged than its northerly neighbor. The Teton Range, an active fault block which stretches for 40 miles, is the park’s most recognizable feature. There are 8 peaks that rise over 12,000 feet and there are more than 100 lakes in the high alpine backcountry. Elk, moose, pronghorn, bison, bears and many species of birds including osprey, eagles and falcons make this wonderful park their home. Hiking, camping and rock climbing are very popular activities for visitors to the park.

Yellowstone National Park
Established in 1872, Yellowstone is the oldest national park in America. The park receives over 3 million visitors per year – which is 6 times as many residents in the entire state of Wyoming. Yellowstone is approximately 2.2 million acres in size and many parts of the park that were destroyed in the fires of 1988 are re-establishing themselves very nicely. The three major areas to visit in the park are Old Faithful, the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone and Mammoth Hot Springs, where much of the park’s impressive geothermal activity can be witnessed. Animals living in the park include grizzly bear, grey wolves, bison, elk, deer and many birds. Fishing on the Madison and Yellowstone Rivers is a favorite activity for visitors to Yellowstone.
